In the absence of the full bridge connecting to Singapore,
an alternative road namely, Short Term Access (STA)
is proposed to allow traffic to get in and out of
the new CIQ Complex. The STA is designed specifically
for light vehicles only i.e buses, cars and motorcycles.
Under the Short Term Access, heavy vehicles will continue
to use the existing routes and facilities. STA is
targeted to complete by mid 2006.
