Menteri Besar of Johor, YAB Dato’ Ghani Othman and Dato’ Seri S. Samy Vellu, Works Minister of Malaysia paid a working visit to the new Custom, Immigration and Quarantine Complex on the 8th October 2007 at 2.30 pm. This was followed by a meeting between them at the 4th floor of the new complex. Monitoring of the work progress for Short Term Access and Permanent Link was done from the meeting room.

YAB Menteri Besar’s entourage comprised of 4 EXCO members, State Secretary and head of the state government departments. The Works Minister was accompanied by the Director General of PWD, Deputy Director General PWD 1, Deputy Chief Secretary, Construction Director of JKR GSB, Director of Structure & Civil Engineering Branch and others senior officers.
