provides protection and comfort, which translates into the

The four shoots depict equality of harmony and balance.
A symmetrical creation appears to react into two spirals
as it replicates into pairs. It reveals the function of
one for all and all for one.
The stacked wings also refers to geographical history between
Johor and neighbouring Singapore. From the initial role
as waterways, a link was constructed before the Second World
War, of which was demolished during the war. The causeway
was rebuilt after the war and remained till today. The fourth
sequence, a history in the making, represents the building
of a new link known as Gerbang Selatan Bersepadu.
The spirit of moderation is reflected in the mystical yet
majestic bird, The Merong Mahawangsa.
Strength and unity is derived from the interfacing relationships
of man (microcosmic) and universe (metacosmic) as man respects
the organized principles, which embraces and binds them,
as crystallized by etiquette-centric Malay philosophy.
From the perspective of Meaning, it implies a vertical
axis of respect towards God and integrative principles.
